ABOUT PASTORS

Apostle R.M. Mpontshana was saved in 1987. This was a radical shift in his life as he had assumed the position of secretary in a newly formed Post Office and telecommunications Workers Association (POTWA) in Zululand. His political aspirations were short-lived. He was torn apart by politics and his Christian life which resulted in him resigning from POTWA.  He made a decision to accept Jesus in his own room on a Sunday evening. He then joined Ebenezer Family Church International where he was fathered by Bishop Linda Mthiyane. During his five years at Ebenezer, he served as a youth leader, secretary and later treasurer of the church board. In his Christian life, he became passionate about preaching the word.

In 1993, he joined Covenant Fellowship Church International at its embryonic stage before it even got the name. In His thirteen years with Covenant Fellowship Church International, he served as a youth leader, a treasurer and eventually as an elder leading a sister church in Pinetown.

In 2006, together with his wife Sibongile he started Truevine Community Church Pinetown. Apostle Ray has preached in many churches and conferences outside Truevine Family of Churches.

He is the chairperson of Clermont & KwaDabeka Ministers Fraternal which is a fellowship of church leaders including Anglican, Methodist, Evangelicals, Zionists and Charismatics. He is the Treasurer of Truevine Family of Churches Council. He is a member of EThekwini Church Leaders Council. He is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at MUT.

Advocate Sibongile Mpontshana was saved in 1994 at the Student Christian Fellowship at the University of Zululand. She was a strong member of the SACP as a student. She served as the convener of the ANC, ANCYL, ANCWL and SACP at the University of Zululand.

The passion for Christ brought an end to political inclination. She joined the Assemblies of God Church under the leadership of pastor Shange (Igeja). Her leadership prowess saw her start Assemblies of God Student Society at the university. She became passionate about intercession and deliverance that her house (staff house at UNIZULU) became a house of prayer.

She later joined Covenant Fellowship Church International. She was also involved in starting the Campus Impact which was a student movement for CFCI. At CFCI, she was one of the teachers of the school of leaders and was the only woman who was preaching in sister churches.  She has preached in churches and conferences in South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

Together with her husband, she pastors Truevine Community Church. She is the Secretary of EThekwini Church leaders Council, the Chairperson of EThekwini Municipality Religious Leaders Forum and the chairperson of the funding committee of Motsepe Foundation in the city of Durban.
